About Rise Gardens

Located at 4515 N Ravenswood Ave, Chicago, IL 60640, Rise Gardens operates as an other place serving Chicago in Illinois. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

This group covers the other places gardeners shop and the businesses that turned up next to garden centers on the map: gift and home decor stores, pet and grocery stores with seasonal plants, craft and antique shops, and local services that do not fit a gardening category. Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. Getting around Chicago is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Illinois's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Rise charged my card without ever sending an order confirmation to my email, no order received, and no memberships or subscriptions exist with them. I only have placed individual orders with them. I’ve reach out for going two months now to their customer support team to receive all but one response so far. Their response was a month after my initial outreach, and asking for the information already stated I was never sent. It’s been silence ever since despite multiple follow ups. Impossible to get ahold of, 0/10 customer service, and subpar hydroponic quality to top it off. Take your money and trust elsewhere before you have to seek legal action like me.

Do not buy!!!!!!!!! While the garden itself works fine, it is nearly impossible to get the seed pods and supplies once you run out. I have waited 3-4 MONTHS for supplies, even though my card was charged when the order was made. When you complain they send you an AI generated response that your order is delayed. This is a crap company. Don’t support them.

Purchased tge garden and couple years ago as a gift to my disabled wife . Over tge last couple years the seed a nutrient automatic deliveries stopped , all I get is shipping will happen soon. Or we are restructuring. Now we are 3 quarterly shipments behind with a 2 year pre paid plan . Wife garden is dying as we speak all that work for nothing. Very sad as we liked the garden. Buyer beware

First, I’ll say it is a great product. However, in the last couple years the customer service has went from ok to abysmal. The quality of the seeds, products, and other services is terrible. It’s May and I’ve been waiting since January for an order I paid for when I ordered. I love my fresh food from it but when parts fail I am going to build or have a similar device built and just do it myself.

I have been a Rise Gardens customer since the first generation of their family garden. I have easily spent thousands on their products. I've loved and had great success with my gardens over they years. Their product allowed me to learn and get passionate about a new hobby and food it grows can be delicious. I've also been proud to support a local business that is native to Chicagoland. However, Rise does not appear to be the company that it used to be. The experience customers are having today is one that makes me deeply concerned and doubtful about the future of this company. They are constantly out of stock on supplies and seeds. Orders go unfilfilled (but they take payment immediately) for weeks or months at a time. The prices of gardens and supplies go up every year but each time they take functionality and features away. They launched the Roma garden only to discontinue it within two years. Now they expect customers to cough up $1500 for a three level garden ($1k 4 years ago) and they no longer offer free shipping. All of this for something that may not even stay operational because they are out of nutrients and seeds. I think that I have no choice but to go with a compe
